• Die Bedienung erfolgt über einen koaxialen Drehknopf, der eine einfache und schnelle Eingabe des Squawk-Codes ermöglicht, ohne dass der Pilot währenddessen umgreifen muss. Mit einem Teil des Knopfes wird die zu ändernde Ziffer ausgewählt, mit dem anderen Teil wird der Wert der Ziffer angepasst. Zur Bestätigung des neuen Codes wird der Knopf einfach eingedrückt. Diese Anordnung ist ideal für kleinere Luftfahrzeuge, insbesondere bei Flugbedingungen mit Turbulenzen.
