INTRO

I am selling my DG-300 ELAN after 9 seasons and around 600 hours I have personally flown on it - full flight history available on request from the logbook. Always privately owned, regularly inspected, serviced, and kept in very good standard throughout. All bulletins are up to date - including an optional but highly recommended bulletin securing the undercarriage release lever against accidental retraction on rough ground. Stored in the trailer most of the time, and in dry hangars since autumn.

The glider has never sustained serious damage - the only known repair was to the undercarriage following a hard landing.

The previous owner flew it for 6 years and around 700 hours before moving up to an 18m glider. I'm now in exactly the same position.

DESCRIPTION

A glider I know very well

This is the glider on which I flew my first serious cross-country flights - 300km and 500km - earned my Gold and Diamond badges, and reached 5,800m ASL on a wave flight. Hundreds of hours, mostly long cross-country flights, flights with water ballast, and experience that lets you truly get to know a glider. Flown in Poland, Slovakia, and the French Alps.

Very pleasant and predictable - reluctant to enter unexpected spins, forgiving of mistakes, not tiring on long flights. Airbrakes very effective.

Water ballast - wing tanks in very good condition, tail ballast tank as well (full ballast configuration). Around 60 litres is already enough to clearly change the flight characteristics.

Cockpit - very comfortable, I'm 187cm and fit with ease. Excellent visibility, effective ventilation. Upholstery replaced a few years ago, still in good/very good condition.

Rigging and transport — simple and enjoyable, easily done by 2 people, all control connections engage automatically. Includes a tail dolly with tow bar for the car hitch and a wing wheel - full transport independence.

Undercarriage - gear doors and brakes properly adjusted.

Canopy - the "classic" crack visible in photos is stable and properly secured. Unchanged throughout all 9 years of my ownership; the glider was bought already in this condition.

Trailer - PEDRETTI, not the famous Cobra, but proven, comfortable, and reliable. I've driven it a lot - across Poland to cross-country camps, and repeatedly abroad on very long trips .

History and documentation — happy to share the full logbook and service history with a genuinely interested buyer. The glider also appears in several flights on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@4fungliding/videos

Get in touch for details and to arrange a viewing. It's a glider for anyone looking for a proven, safe machine that lets you keep growing whether you're just starting out in cross-country flying or looking for a companion for your next ambitious goal.

The higher price is mainly due to the avionics - this is a true "get in and fly" setup, with nothing left to upgrade or change. The whole layout was carefully thought through and finished with real attention to detail, resulting in one of the nicer and highly functional cockpits you'll find in this type.
