Nice, always private PW-5 for sale due to change of class
Beschreibung
Due to change of class I have a nice, always private PW-5 for sale. It's a nice, nimble aircraft whose lightweight controls are both very forgiving for inexpirienced pilots (very docile stall characteristics) but also reward and encourage precise piloting. It's perfect for clubs, first time glider owners and casual pilots.
Basic information:
- polish (EASA) registration SP-4146
- ARC until 06.2027, the glider is in ready-to-fly condition (currently without insurance)
- year 1998, serial 17.12.001
- 1210:06 hours, 897 landings
- the glider had 2 repairs a few years back (before I bought it): torn off vertical stabiliser (it got caught on vegetation during an outlanding, sadly happenes relatively often on PW-5s; replaced with a brand new one) and a few centimeter leading edge damage. Both repairs were carried out at ZS Jeżów (current manufacturer and TC holder)
- gelcoat condition is good (8/10): it has a few scratches as does every 30 year old glider, but the paint doesn't show any signs of degradation and looks much better than any other PW-5 with original paint I've seen
- the canopy doesn't have any cracks or evidence of repair; the only defect is a small matte spot near the back that is far outside of normal field of view
- stored in trailer during the season, in hangar during the winter
- full documentation since new is available
- wear items: rudder cables until 2029, seatbelts until 2037 (installed this year in new old stock condition), Tost releases until 2000 total landings, rubber suspension blocks until 2721 total landings
Equipment:
- standard pneumatic PZL 80 mm instruments (ASI, altimeter, 5 m/s variometer with KWEC)
- ILEC SC-7 electronic audio vario with a K-1 probe at the top of the fuselage
- compass
- KRT2 (newer, with big display)
- Gauting 402/31 turn and slip indicator
- fast USB charger and phone mount similar to RAM Mount
- new wiring harness with teflon-insulated wires and 2 battery inputs
- sealed lead acid 12V 9Ah battery
- J-5 seatbelts (installed this year in new old stock condition)
- redone faux leather seat cushion
- no parachute is included in the sale
The glider is currently stored in a 15m Avionic klappdach-style trailer (can store any 15m glider or longer if the wings are divided into sections appropriately) that can be sold for additional 8000 EUR. I may be able to facilitate a sale of a friend's cheap tube-style trailer instead.
