Please note that although a small number of club members do speak
other languages anyone wishing to join the club should be prepared
to speak the German language.
Despite this apparent problem the club has taught at least one native
English-speaker to fly....
How to Become a Member of the LSV Pinneberg
- Make contact with us and obtain information.
- Come to our airfield and have at least one passenger flight.
- Make contact with the club committee (collect membership forms, etc.).
- Participate in at least one day's normal flying operations.
- Medical examination by a "Fliegerarzt" (Doctor who is permitted to do this)
who will then certify that you are fit to fly gliders. Consult us for
advice!
- Hand the completed membership forms to the club committee.

- Come to the airfield and fly, fly, fly!
To help new members the "Handbuch für neue Mitglieder"
(Manual for new Members) is handed out.
Beginners are strongly recommended to attend our annual Summer flying "camp".
The large number of training flights within a short time
can result in considerable progress in learning to fly.
Minimum age: 14 (according to the club's statutes and the terms of our
insurers).
